Michael Jackson�s daughter recruited by Lingerie Football League

In head scratching, odd sports moments of the week�the Lingerie Football League wants Michael Jackson�s daughter, Paris Jackson, to become the spokesperson for the youth program of LFL according to TMZ Sports.

Paris Jackson plays for the boys flag football team at her private school in Los Angeles.

�We � would like to invite Paris to become the spokesperson for the LFL�s youth program and perhaps start training for a future football career in the LFL when she reaches the age of 18,� LFL Commissioner Mitchell Mortaza told TMZ.

Participants in the LFL�s youth division will be fully clothed, but little girls can look forward to stripping down into lacy swimsuits should they desire full-time employment in the professional league one day. Creepy.

I�ve spoken with Mortaza before in the past and have interviewed women who compete in these leagues and believe the majority of these people believe they�re creating opportunities for women who love football. That is an easy philosophy to support, but Mortaza�s business philosophies about how to sell his product is unsettling.

According to the LFL�s business structure, the message to young girls is that your talent is always second to your looks. After all, what other sports league requires head shots?

Is it really necessary to put women in bras and panties to sell the sport? Is this really the only way to garner interest?

To some, that answer is a resounding yes. I imagine there are plenty of 18-35 year-old men who have no problems with this and, perhaps, there are some older men and women who enjoy this as well.

But I challenge you to imagine if this were your daughter, your sister or your wife. Would you still be comfortable with the daughter, sister or wife you love being deduced to wearing a lacy swimsuit in order to compete in a sport she loves?
